Hospitals Face Unrelenting Workforce Shortages: Student Nurses, Hospitals Team Up to Ease the Crunch
View News Release
The Wisconsin Student Nurse Association, in coordination with the WHA, announced a statewide program designed to reach students with a simple message, "Be A Nurse." The program is designed to recruit students to nursing and improve the image of the nursing profession. The 36 WSNA chapters located across the state will visit local elementary, middle and high schools and present a short program that builds awareness of the education that is required to be a nurse, the career opportunities in nursing, and explains a few of the more technical aspects of the career. A registered nurse from the local hospital will join them when they make their in-classroom presentations.
