Getting a Seat at the Table with Lean/Process Improvement Initiatives

Program Description
Challenged with living amongst severe conditions (old hospitals), hospitals are desperate to find way to ensure their survival. Hospitals are living organisms that must learn how to be flexible in their environment by engaging the workforces in new organizational concepts and customs to build a more appropriate and stronger organization for the years to come. During the session, participants will walk through how to use the tools of the 5S process while making it "fun" and "engaging" for your employees. The presentation will include brochures, handouts, poster examples, training implemented, awards given, and communication articles with interactive/rewards games, etc.

Learning Objectives
At the completion of this program, the participant will be able to:
  1. The 5S Concepts and how they can be utilized in human resources/training.
  2. How to utilize metrics to report successes and wins within the organization
  3. How to begin the process of identifying HR projects within their organizations for Lean that are fun/creative and will map to the strategic initiatives of your organization.

Kelley Williamson, CPLP, Sr Human Resources Business Partner, University of Colorado Hospital
Kelley Williamson, CPLP, Green Belt Certification for Lean Healthcare Process Improvement and Green Belt Lean Six Sigma, has over 20 years of successful process improvement, management, performance management, IT realignment and organizational development with such companies as Software Spectrum, Expanets, Business Technology Consultants, RELERA, University of Colorado Hospital, and others. For the past four years, she has been the Manager of Learning and Development at the University of Colorado Hospital in Denver, but was most recently promoted to the senior human resources business partner for Inpatient Services. She has been instrumental in implementing customer service, management and leadership programs, Crucial Conversations, Crucial Confrontations and Lean for Healthcare Solutions that aligns with the strategic initiatives of the hospital.

$295.00 for one phone line per site

How the Webinar Will Work
Dial-in instructions, on-line login instructions and any other reference materials will be emailed to each registrant approximately three days prior to the conference. If you do not receive them by this date, please email lgeishirt@wha.org.

It is the responsibility of the registrant to access presentation materials prior to the day of the event. If your e-mail address changes, you do not receive an e-mail with instructions from WHA, or if you are unable to open presentation materials, please contact Lisa Geishirt at WHA two days prior to the event to allow time to address the issue.

Substitution, Transfer and Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received in writing up to five business days prior to an event will be given a full refund less a $50 processing fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations received less than five business days prior and day-of-program no-shows. Substitutions are accepted.
