How to Protect Your Hospital from the Anesthesia Shortage

Webinar
August 13, 2008
Time: 10-11:30 p.m. CENTRAL TIME

Register for this event online:
August 13, 2008 ($295 per line)

Program Description
The national shortage of anesthesiologists is forcing many hospitals to limit profitable OR services. And increasingly, anesthesia groups are requesting subsidies in exchange for OR coverage. This session will take apart the underlying dynamics of anesthesia to show that subsidies are not the only alternative. The key to ensuring coverage is finding organic ways to increase the revenue potential or OR presents for anesthesiologists. Improving perioperative efficiency and processes can make your surgical services organization an "OR of choice" for anesthesia providers.

Learning Objectives:
At the completion of this program, the participant will be able to:
  1. Discuss alternatives to anesthesia subsidy/support
  2. Describe how OR improvements can reduce subsidies
  3. Discuss how OR improvements can increase hospital bottom line
