Program Description
This timely Webinar highlights the key immigration issues facing the hospital COO, CFO and human resources manager, as he/she copes with staffing shortages, an increasingly diverse workforce, government audits and undocumented immigrants in the Emergency Room. Elliot Norman, Attorney, Williams Mullen
As a former federal prosecutor, Eliot deals with I-9 compliance, E-Verify, ICE raids, and advising health care and other employers on "best practices" and "safe harbors" to reduce risks in hiring and retaining foreign nationals. He has also specialized in business immigration law for over 15 years, working with foreign physicians, physical therapists and registered nurses and their employers. He is a co-author of the Williams Mullen Worksite Enforcement & Corporate Immigration Compliance Manual and regularly leads seminars and training sessions on immigration compliance topics on a national basis. Eliot is a graduate of Yale and Boston College Law School.

Bill Benos, Attorney, Williams Mullen
As chair of Williams Mullen's Immigration Practice Group, Bill Benos combines his business and immigration expertise to advise international clients with matters involving the cross-border movement of personnel, compliance with immigration laws, evolving immigration policy and legislation (at the federal, state and local level), and inbound and outbound investments. He serves as honorary consul of Canada and is an adjunct professor at the University of Richmond School of Law. He also recently served as legal advisor to the Illegal Immigration Task Force for the Virginia State Crime Commission.

How the Webinar Will Work
Dial-in instructions, on-line login instructions and any other reference materials will be emailed to each registrant approximately three days prior to the conference. If you do not receive them by this date, please email lgeishirt@wha.org.

It is the responsibility of the registrant to access presentation materials prior to the day of the event. If your e-mail address changes, you do not receive an e-mail with instructions from WHA, or if you are unable to open presentation materials, please contact Lisa Geishirt at WHA two days prior to the event to allow time to address the issue.

Substitution, Transfer and Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received in writing up to five business days prior to an event will be given a full refund less a $50 processing fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations received less than five business days prior and day-of-program no-shows. Substitutions are accepted.
