Finding and Becoming an Effective Mentor

Program Description
This webinar focuses on the realities of mentoring partnerships in today's health care environment. Mentoring provides a unique opportunity for the mentor to provide guidance and growth for others. For this being mentored, it is an opportunity to discuss and learn in a trusting, non-threatening environment. Effective mentoring relationships are positive/positive.

Learning Objectives
At the completion of this program, the participant will be able to:
  1. Identify opportunities for forming successful mentoring partnerships with effective expectations
  2. Discuss ways to reduce the negative impact of the mentoring traps
  3. List ways to assess individual mentoring talents
  4. Describe ways to effectively structure mentoring discussions and partnerships
  5. Identify ways to maximize mentoring skills and abilities
  6. Discuss the specific deliverables that "mentorees" need for success

Harry Chambers, President, Trinity Solutions
Harry Chambers brings more than 30 years of practical organizational experience to his programs. His experience ranges from an hourly employee to executive officer in the sales, operations, training and administrative areas.He is President of Atlanta-based training/consulting companies, Trinity Solutions, Inc. and H.E. Chambers and Associates. He has trained, facilitated and consulted with Bosie State University, the University of Minnesota, and is affiliated with the Sam M. Walton Center for Management and Executive Development at the University of Arkansas. He has presented programs for health care and hospital associations across the country. He is a frequent presenter at Inc. Magazine's Leadership Development Conferences and his work has been featured on the web sites of CNN FN and Business Week Online. An award-winning author, his books have been translated into six foreign languages. His articles, excerpts, and direct quotes appear in many publications and journals, including Executive Excellence, Success and Cosmopolitan magazines. He has been interviewed on NBC's Today Show, ABC's Morning News and National Public Radio’s Morning Edition.

$295.00 for one phone line per site

Additional phone lines will be billed at $295.00 each.

How the Webinar Will Work
Dial-in instructions, on-line login instructions and any other reference materials will be emailed to each registrant approximately three days prior to the conference. If you do not receive them by this date, please email lgeishirt@wha.org.

It is the responsibility of the registrant to access presentation materials prior to the day of the event. If your e-mail address changes, you do not receive an e-mail with instructions from WHA, or if you are unable to open presentation materials, please contact Lisa Geishirt at WHA two days prior to the event to allow time to address the issue.

Substitution, Transfer and Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received in writing up to five business days prior to an event will be given a full refund less a $50 processing fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations received less than five business days prior and day-of-program no-shows. Substitutions are accepted.
