WADVS is a professional state organization for directors and other employed leaders of volunteer services in health care facilities. The purpose of WADVS is to develop and maintain standards and guidelines for quality-based volunteer services administration; and provide educational programming and informational resources to meet the needs of the professionals responsible for volunteer services administration within health care facilities. The WADVS Board and General Membership Meetings are held twice a year in conjunction with the spring and fall WADVS state conferences. The frequency of regional meetings varies throughout the state. A state newsletter is mailed quarterly to all members.


WADVS Mission Statement

The mission of the Wisconsin Association of Directors of Volunteer Services is to promote and advance effective volunteer management in health care institutions and to provide educational and professional development opportunities to its members.

WADVS fulfills its mission by:

  1. Developing and maintaining standards and guidelines for quality-based volunteer services administration.
  2. Providing educational programming and informational resources to meet the needs of the professionals responsible for volunteer services administration.
  3. Facilitate the sharing of information and resources between the American Society of Directors of Volunteer Services (ASDVS) and WADVS regional groups.
  4. Collaborate with other organizations that offer support to health care institutions.
