May 25, 2018

Participate in a live webinar with WHA to earn a continuing education credit!

Thoughtful use of antimicrobials is key to preventing hospital-acquired infections and curbing the epidemic of multi-drug resistant organisms.  The best available evidence can sometimes be buried in 20+ page clinical guidelines, so WHA is offering a four-part live webinar series about evidence-based best practices of antibiotic stewardship.

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE: physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses and quality professionals

NEXT TOPIC:  Evidence-based Strategies to Avoid Prescribing Unnecessary Antibiotics

DATE:  June 11

PRESENTER:  Robert Redwood, MD, MPH

COST:  $0 but you must pre-register

About the live webinar session: we use video conference technology called Zoom. You’ll be able to see the presenter and his material, other participants, and converse during the webinar.  Zoom is a web-based technology, and you do not need an account to participate. We’ll send you a link you can open – it’s that easy.

Dr. Redwood is WHA’s physician improvement advisor who works full time as an emergency and preventive medicine physician at Divine Savior Hospital in Portage. He is also chair of the hospital’s antimicrobial stewardship committee.
