WHA Unveils 2020 Election Resources Web Page

WHA and the Hospitals Education & Advocacy Team (HEAT) this week unveiled an Elections 2020 web page with resources to promote voter awareness as the November 3 Election draws near.

"For 100 years, WHA has been an advocate for high-quality health care in Wisconsin, working with lawmakers to enact health care policy that protects our families and communities across the state," said Eric Borgerding, WHA President & CEO. "When we cast our votes, we are electing Wisconsin leaders who will make important health care decisions that impact all of us, both now and in the years to come," Borgerding continued.

All the resources can be found on the WHA website at www.wha.org/Elections, and includes:

  • List of important Wisconsin voter deadlines.
  • Where voters can register to vote, request an absentee ballot, and view a sample of their ballot.
  • Link to Wisconsin Eye’s candidate interview videos where voters can learn where candidate stand on health care and other issues.
WHA is a proud sponsor of Wisconsin Eye’s non-partisan Campaign 2020 coverage, which includes the production of informative interviews of candidates across the state.

The Elections 2020 web page also includes tools for WHA members to encourage voter participation and engagement in advocacy within their own organizations. These tools include downloadable visual posters, information on how to join the HEAT grassroots network, and how individuals can help support candidates for state office who value hospitals and health systems through the Wisconsin Hospitals State PAC & Conduit.
