Health Care Data

WHA is dedicated to helping hospitals understand the changing health care environment. Part of that help is provided through hospital specific analysis on the impacts of changing payment rules, quality and pay for performance initiatives, benchmarking performance, etc. WHA delivers this analysis to key hospital staff through the new member’s only portal.

Guide to Wisconsin Hospitals

The Guide to Wisconsin Hospitals presents selected descriptive financial, services, utilization, and staffing data about individual Wisconsin hospitals. It also provides summary and trend information for selected aggregate data. The report is based on data submitted to the WHA Information Center on the Fiscal Year (FY) Hospital Fiscal Survey and the FY Annual Survey of Hospitals by general medical-surgical (GMS) hospitals, long-term acute care hospitals (LTAC), psychiatric (psych) hospitals, alcohol and other drug abuse (AODA) hospitals, stateoperated mental health (state) institutes, and rehabilitation (rehab) hospitals. Data from Veterans Affairs hospitals are collected on a voluntary basis but are not included in this report; nor are data from hospitals that submitted partial-year data.
