WHA Welcomes New Employees

Hopman Joins WHA as Marketing Communications Manager
Katelyn Hopman

Katelyn Hopman joined WHA as marketing communications manager, a newly created position at WHA. Hopman’s primary responsibilities will be planning, developing and executing marketing communications strategies to promote various projects across WHA and support member engagement. She will also support communication strategies for the Superior Health Quality Alliance under Task Order 1.
 
Hopman previously worked for Ascension Indiana where she oversaw all marketing materials, including the planning and execution of marketing strategies and design of both print and digital communications.
 
"We are thrilled to welcome Katelyn to the WHA team as we enhance our communication efforts and leverage cutting-edge strategies to strengthen the connection between our members and WHA resources, services and events," said Kari Hofer, WHA Vice President, External Affairs. "With over eight years of experience in marketing communications, Katelyn brings a new and valuable perspective that will empower us to achieve even greater impact in our communications approach."
 
Hopman holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Eastern Illinois University.
 
Stacy Kopp
Kopp Joins WHA’s Quality Team
Stacy Kopp has joined WHA as a clinical quality improvement manager and will be working with the WHA quality team on the Superior Health infection prevention and control work.
 
Kopp has a bachelor’s degree in nursing and an MBA in health care administration, with nursing home administrator licensure. She has 20+ years of health care leadership, most extensively in long-term care and has held roles as skilled nursing home (SNF) executive director, assisted living (AL) administrator, and administrative and nursing consultant. Additionally, she has clinical-related experience in resident care management, regulatory compliance, hospice care, behavioral health, substance abuse/opioid patient treatment, infection control, quality improvement, and nursing operations.
 
“Stacy has a variety of experiences, including 20+ years of health care leadership, extensively in long-term care, that will add to our quality team agenda and WHA membership,” said WHA Chief Quality Officer Nadine Allen. “Her skills are a perfect fit for our quality programs.”
