WHA Launches Workforce Partnership Series
Nation’s first RN apprenticeship is right here in Wisconsin
Join WHA and the Wisconsin Organization of Nurse Leaders (WONL) to learn how Wisconsin continues to lead the way in apprenticeships with a groundbreaking registered nurse apprenticeship—a learn-while-you-earn opportunity that opens the door to individuals who might not otherwise join the workforce.
Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards Director David D. Polk and UW Health Chief Nurse Executive Rudy Jackson will discuss their journey together launching an RN apprenticeship for UW Health incumbents.
Participants will come away with an understanding of how to partner with DWD and their local academic institutions to sponsor health care apprenticeships and learn about resources to help get started on the apprenticeship journey.
