The come-from-behind victory for Masto, who had been trailing Republican challenger Adam Laxalt up until that day, gave Democrats 50 U.S. Senate Seats, ensuring they will maintain their majority regardless of what happens in the state of Georgia.

Long-time Wisconsin health care and WHA leader Bill Petasnick passed away Nov. 8, 2022. Bill was an active member of WHA, serving as chair in 2001 and received WHA’s Distinguished Service Award in 2005. He was chair of the American Hospital Association in 2008 and received AHA’s highest honor, the Distinguished Service Award.
