Applications are now being accepted for the 2027 Excellence in Quality and Patient Safety Awards Program, which recognizes innovative and impactful quality improvement initiatives taking place in Wisconsin hospitals and health systems.
The program highlights organizations that have successfully implemented improvement strategies resulting in improved patient outcomes, enhanced safety, coordinated care delivery and stronger organizational performance. Award recipients will be recognized during a special awards event in early 2027.
Hospitals and health systems are encouraged to submit projects that demonstrate measurable results, innovation and a commitment to continuous improvement. Applications will be accepted through December 15, 2026. Interested organizations can find award criteria, application materials and information about previous award recipients on the Quality and Patient Safety Awards webpage.
In addition to applying for the awards program, organizations are encouraged to share their work through the Health Care Quality Poster Showcase, which will be held during WHA Advocacy Day on April 21, 2027. The poster showcase provides an opportunity to highlight successful improvement initiatives, exchange ideas with peers and promote the spread of effective practices across Wisconsin. Read about last year’s showcase here.
WHA looks forward to recognizing the outstanding quality improvement and patient safety work occurring across Wisconsin hospitals and health systems and encourages organizations of all sizes to participate.
