Operational Vacancy: An Effective Tool for Workforce Planning

Nurse leaders and human resources professionals regularly assess vacancy rates as a key indicator of staffing efficiency.  However, it is important to consider operational vacancy as well, or you are missing half the picture. Operational vacancies refer to positions that are technically filled but not actively contributing productively, such as staff on FML, hired but not yet started, or in orientation without being productive.  Failure to address operational vacancies can lead to increased premium pay, contract labor, and higher patient ratios. Discover how to integrate operational vacancy into your metrics, enhance staffing effectiveness, increase nurse retention, and reduce labor costs.

This webinar is being offered in conjunction with new WHA Corporate Member, Health Carousel.
