The Wisconsin Quality Residency Program, created through a partnership between Wisconsin Hospital Association and Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative (RWHC), was first launched in 2014 and provides a comprehensive curriculum of core quality improvement concepts. It is designed to engage new or novice hospital quality improvement leaders in a track of education, leadership training and networking – all critical for success in the first two years on the job. This program is open to all Wisconsin hospitals and health care systems.
This 10-month program is a combination of in-person and virtual meetings, and the learning modules cover foundational topics, including regulatory and accreditation requirements, quality improvement concepts, state and federal hospital compliance, risk management, data analysis and decision-making and more. The monthly learning modules are highly interactive facilitated by a team of expert and veteran quality professionals.
