GRASSROOTS SPOTLIGHT: Sen. Tammy Baldwin Meets with Aspirus Leadership
On Nov. 21, U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin met with hospital leaders from Aspirus Health System. The visit included a tour of Aspirus Wausau Hospital (AWH) and a discussion of important topics such as the health care workforce shortage, the aging population and high proportion of Medicaid and Medicare patients, and the financial pressures these issues place on rural hospitals in particular.
