Aspirus Health Donation Helps Survivors Pursue Education
Aspirus Health is proud to announce a $1,000 donation to The Women’s Community of Wausau (TWC) through its Community Health Improvement program, reinforcing Aspirus’ commitment to healing, health promotion, and community strength. This funding will support the purchase of new hard drives for laptop computers generously donated by another community partner who wished to remain anonymous. This combined contribution provided the foundational technology and The Women’s Community is able to harness the donations to prepare more laptops than originally anticipated. A total of 22 laptops will be distributed to TWC clients, providing them with essential tools to support their academic journeys and future success.
“At Aspirus Health, we believe in the power of partnership and the importance of supporting those who uplift our communities,” said Tara Draeger, Director of System Community Health and Health Equity at Aspirus Health. “This donation reflects our mission to heal people, promote health, and strengthen communities.”
Aspirus Health’s Community Benefit program is designed to support programs and activities that provide treatment or promote health and healing in response to identified community health needs. These efforts aim to enhance public health, advance increased general knowledge, relieve or reduce the burden of government to improve health, and improve access to health care services. This collaborative initiative highlights the impact of community-driven solutions and the strength that comes from working together with compassion and purpose.
"We are honored to support The Women’s Community and grateful to all who make this work possible,” added Draeger. “Together, we are building a healthier, more connected future.”
