Aspirus Medford Hospital Provides Grant to REC Center to Enhance Community Wellness
Funding from Aspirus Medford Hospital through its Community Health Improvement Program to The REC Center will support the organization mission to provide a safe and inclusive space for individuals of all backgrounds, offering resources and interactive programs that promote personal growth and community well-being. Opened in 2024, The REC Center aims to create a haven beyond school and home where community members can relax and engage in various activities. The funds will support future amenities such as a youth center with supervised activities, in addition to the already present 24-hour fitness center, saunas, an indoor walking track, pickleball courts, a shake bar, locker rooms, and showers. Additionally, members have access to a variety of instructor-led fitness classes.
The Aspirus Medford Hospital Community Health Improvement Program is dedicated to supporting initiatives that address identified community health needs. By funding programs like The REC Center, Aspirus Medford Hospital strives to improve access to health care services, enhance public health, and strengthen community ties.
"We are thrilled to support The REC Center in its efforts to provide a welcoming environment that fosters health and wellness for all community members," said Jason Troxell, Northwest WI Division President, Aspirus Health. "This partnership aligns with our commitment to promote health and strengthen communities."
