Cultivating Tomorrow’s Leaders Through Community Partnership
Marshfield Medical Center–Stevens Point was proud to partner with the Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce, Mid-State Technical College, and local high schools to support the C.O.O.L. Teen Leadership Program.
This initiative is designed to strengthen students’ understanding of Community, Occupations, Organizations, and Leadership, preparing them to become the next generation of engaged and effective leaders. The program’s learning objectives are aligned with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction’s Youth Leadership Assessment, which measures key leadership skills valued by employers, communities, and organizations.
As part of MMC-Stevens Point involvement, students were introduced to the wide range of occupations available at a health system. They learned about potential career paths and volunteer opportunities available to them, helping them envision a future in healthcare and community service. Additionally, students participate in an educational session that highlights various programs and scholarship opportunities, further supporting their academic and professional growth.
By investing in youth leadership development, this partnership helps build a stronger, more connected community and a more prepared future workforce.
